Meal – I had a Goong Pad Kra Pao at a Thai restaurant recently that blew my head off.
Book – ‘Dead Souls’ by Nikolay Gogol was the last book I read that stayed with me long after reading it.
Film – I’ve been watching lots of Herzog/Kinski films recently and they are all great. Klaus Kinski standing on a raft adrift in the Amazon river throwing rats into the water and shouting “I AM the wrath of God!” must be one of the best scenes ever committed to film.
Poem – Acquainted with the Night by Robert Frost.
Band – Can. The coolest band to exist, well, except when Irmin Schmidt started wearing chain mail waistcoats.
Song – I’ve been listening to nothing but ’70s Afrobeat for the last 3 months. HEAVY HEAVY HEAVY by Geraldo Pino & the Heartbeats is often stuck in my head.
Colour – Brown
Drink – It’s brown and it’s hot, it’s tea!
Animal – He’s small, ginger and his breath smells like shrimp! I love my Larry cat.
